This lowly blog chronicles the life-altering experiences of a certain beloved Chicagoan. As he establishes his

Some News

Oh hey. I figured I'd update before this weekend because I'll be in YORK. (Woot.) Our group is gonna go visit castles (namely those where the Harry Potter movies were filmed), and other fun stuff like that. We'll leave Friday and come back Monday, and hopefully our internet will be fixed by then. If that is the case, then I can upload billions of photos for your viewing enjoyment!

Last night we ventured to The Lion's Inn, a cozy pub located close to our flat. Apparently British pubs such as the Lion plan weekly "pub quizes". All you do is answer British trivia questions, and if you win, you get lots of beer and money. None of the Americans won, much to the amusement of the other pub guests, but we had a good ol' time.

This morning, we split into groups and raced to Nottingham University. Some went by bike, others by bus, and a few by free tram things. The bus people won. Big surprise. Afterwards, we wandered around a bit, gawking at architecture that is probably older than the U.S.

I didn't take this. But it's so purdy.

Yep. Nothing too life-altering. We also started our "Travel Course" instruction: each of us was required to present an aspect of York that we found appealing. Psh, I didn't come to England to work.

Oh, wait.

Yours,
